I hate then news, its alwasy so dramatic, when the fires happened in SD it was a pretty big deal, lots of homes and such were lost, but for an entire year after that everytime someone lit a match it made the shitty local papers. If the dumb ass media would report news to the degree it needed to be reported then maybe people would react better to actual disasters.

I don’t claim to be an old school Ramones fan, it would be pretty impossible considering they were around 9 years before my birth. But why they fuck is Blitzkrieg Bop the anthem for shitty new generation of products (i.e. Diet Pepsi, and pre-paid cell phones)? Does Michel Jackson own the Ramones like he owns the Beatles? Who owns the rights to the Ramones logo? I know that Bill Waterson (Calvin and Hobbs) didn't ever copyright his images because he believed in the idea of intellectual property and wanted his work to be free in the public domain, and thank god! Now Calvin can piss on anything. Is this the case with the Ramones? You can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a Ramones tee. The only living Ramone (Markey) has been touring with the "Misfits" for the last few years, the Misfits are one of my favorite bands of all time but they currently consist of Jerry Only (original misfit), Dez (of Black Flag), and Markey Ramone...They are all fucking old, they are pretty great and I will see them any time they are in town, but do you know how sad it makes me to see Markey Ramone selling Ramones tee's at a Misfits show? I cant help but to be reminded of Gil Scott-Heron, he had a song in the mid 1970's called "The revolution will not be televised," later in his career he sold his rights to Pepsi, remaking it as "The Revolution Will be Televised,” when asked why he "sold out" he answered that he also had to make money... what’s the point? I don’t know, I just hate how everything I love is exploited by everything I hate but use anyway (with the exception of Pepsi and pre-paid phones). |

Does anyone have a copy of SPSS for mac? It some statistical analysis software for my political analysis (wildly enough). "Political analysis truely puts the science in political science. Oh i should tell everyone about my crazy ass school load that nearly made me cry last week...maybe if i can pull my head out of a fucking book i'll post about it. It’s no news that I have been accepted to UCSD, I think I’ve told everyone. Although what is news...because of the impoverished life I have been forced to lead for the last 22 years and because through all my hardships I’ve managed to keep a pretty high GPA... The University of California San Diego has offered me a full scholarship! This includes tuition, books parking pass (which is wildly overpriced at $600 a year), and living expanses (which is about 1300 per quarter). This came as quite a shock to me, I assumed I was going to get some financial aid and some of my scholarships I went out for, but a full ride! It seems that UCSD was not aware that I would have been more than happy to pay them to attend their institution but this works too. I also took out a $3000 subsidized loan (that the gov’t pays the interest on) so I don’t have to work this quarter. This was a necessary step on account that I don’t work for CPK anymore. After over 2 years of loyal service to the pizza kitchen they tried to fire me, I responded with a swift letter of resignation. I assume UCSD will me a tad harder than community college so this quarter will be good adjustment time and I wont have to worry about work. Then I wont take summer classes because for some stupid reason they don’t offer aid in the summer so two classes would cost me over $1100. So I’ll work in the summer, pay back my loan and see if I can work and go to school in the fall. |

OK, there is this new girl who is working at CPK for winter break cuz her parents live here...she lives in LA and goes to USC...I was flirting with her at work and after work I went to Friday’s to have a drink (or 3)...then she came back to my house, we were hanging out and watching Disney movies, then we started making out for like an hour...when she was leaving she told me how much she likes me and how she never does this kind of thing and asks me if I would spend new years with her...I say yes...she asks what I am doing during the day...I tell her I am spending it with her...she smiles...I make out with her again leaning against her car (turbo bug 3am)...then she comes over around 5pm the next day and we watch a little Ali G and hang out and decide to go see a movie; Oceans 12 (it was pretty good)...then we go pick up some champagne and come back to my house and are watching Harry Potter...then we turned it off, this is about 1145...then she tells me that she is going to go...So I was like are you serious, 15 mins before midnight on new years?...and she told me she was feeling awkward because she did not want to send me the wrong idea about what kind of girl she is...I told her I was not expecting anything and that if she was worried about anything that I would be a perfect gentleman...so she leaves and tells me that she wants to get to know me better and that she really likes me...
What the fuck is that?????
So later I hang out with my ex and her little sister and our friend jessica (another jessica) and we go eat and come back to my house...and there is this dog waiting on my steps...he is this super sweet golden retriever whos name is Diego. I called and left a message for his owner and she called back like 10 mins later (this is like 245) and she is in san fran but she will have a friend pick him up tomorrow...so I gave the dog a bath and I want to keep him, he is sleeping at my feet right now as I type this, he knows how to shake and sit and stay, I want to see if he can do anything else but I don’t want to wake him.

Has the country has lost her mind? Is it that hard of a decision? Was half the class absent when they were teaching morals, and to learn from your mistakes? I'm not so worried about what Bush will do or that Kerry could do it so much better, but Bush did a lot of fucked up shit, has not once admitted that he was wrong and as result the rest of the world hates us. Now we were faced with an opportunity to redeem ourselves to a certain extent and show that we don’t condone that kind of business and we totally blow it (the results aren't in yet but I’m projecting) I just hope by some miracle things work out. |

I'm really happy that i am liviing in this day in age for many reasons, the one on the top of my head is how easy it is for me to be a vegetarian. I couldn't imagine trying to do it 20+ years ago it would be so hard. you can go to any market and find all the meat alt. products and they actually taste good. Thats all. |
